Would you like a tutor?
Your education, your way...
When you get a tutor with the Literacy Council of the Palouse (LCP), you are in control of your studies.
- You will be matched with a tutor that compliments your educational goals and personality.
- You and your tutor will set a tutoring schedule that fits with your life.
- You and your tutor will choose the time and location to meet.
- You will develop your own goals and timeline according to your needs.
How it works
Once you have decided that you would like a tutor:
- Get in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator 208-883-2626 or adult_literacy@moscow.com.
- Discuss what you would like in a tutor and what you hope to get out of having a tutor.
- Attend an initial meeting with both the Volunteer Coordinator and the new tutor. This usually takes about 1/2 hour for introductions and schedule planning.
- Meet once a week (typically for one hour) with your tutor.
- Keep in touch with the Volunteer Coordinator as to how you are doing, any questions you may have and any additional materials you may need.
